​Position Description:

  • This role is based within Component and Sub-System Testing (CST) in the company's Engineering Laboratories, a collection of world-class, cutting-edge testing facilities.

  • CST plays an integral part in physical Verification & Validation (V&V) within the company systems engineering landscape, directly influencing the delivery of the world's most desirable vehicles such as Range Rover and Defender.

  • This role will allow you to work within the mHIL testing landscape and is responsible for supporting the definition, development and delivery of harmonised system test solutions that support the integration of mechatronic and software layers into physical test activity.

Skills Required:

  •  Knowledge of model-based systems engineering and visual model interpretation tools (e.g. MatLab/Simulink & IPG Carmaker)

  • Knowledge of hardware/vehicle system in the loop simulation (e.g. dSpace & XPACK)

  • Familiar with acquiring and interpreting data utilising data acquisition tools (e.g. Vector Tools CANape/CANalyzer)

  • Experience Required:

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge on Vehicular Networks and Communications (e.g. CAN/Flexray)

  • A good understanding of systems Engineering 'V-Model' specifically requirements-based testing and design verification & validation.

  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g. MatLab script & C/Python)

  • General understanding of mechanics of physical components and systems.

  • Experience executing vehicle mechatronic control systems level test activities according to defined test procedures.

  • Calibration, instrumentation and data measurement including SW related sensor knowledge.
