Position Description:
This role will aim to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for company vehicles
The D&R Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness of company vehicles are met or exceeded.
This is achieved through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests and driven vehicle DV activities
Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets
Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary
Skills Required:
Knowledge experience of engineering test activities
Knowledge experience of automotive technologies or systems
Project Management experience
Experience Required:
Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies
Understanding of Durability Strength principles
Project management of complex engineering test activities
Experience of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
Understanding of Systems engineering principles and delivery
Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge Experience of AGILE working principles
Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.
Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
