Durability and Robustness Programme Leader

​Position Description:

• This role will aim to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for company vehicles

• The D&R Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness of company vehicles are met or exceeded.

• This is achieved through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods

• Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved

• Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests and driven vehicle DV activities

• Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets

• Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues

• Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports

• Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary

Skills Required:

• Knowledge experience of engineering test activities

• Knowledge experience of automotive technologies or systems

• Project Management experience

Experience Required:

• Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies

• Understanding of Durability Strength principles

• Project management of complex engineering test activities

• Experience of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.

• Understanding of Systems engineering principles and delivery

• Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel

Experience Preferred:

• Knowledge Experience of AGILE working principles

• Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.

• Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
