WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking to appoint a talented Lead Engineer in our Vehicle Engineering & Architectures function to support a team that create and sustain future proofed and efficient vehicle architectures to deliver world class, modern luxury experiences and maximised customer and business benefits.
It's an opportunity that focuses on the whole vehicle engineering and technical integration and the role will have exposure to the key areas that influence vehicle technology development, interacting across engineering functions and attribute teams and with key programme customers working with a major development partner.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
As a Vehicle Engineering & Architecture (VAVE) Lead Engineer, you'll get the opportunity to apply and further development our vehicle architecture technology toolkit, ensuring the application of that toolkit is technically compatible with vehicle level attribute targets and programme deliverables.
You'll get to liaise and interface with multiple functions to apply high value customer innovations and compile robust assumptions and data to develop the requirements and features chosen for implementation on/into the architecture toolkit.
You'll be required to manage a complex flow of changing information, coming from all functions and maintaining records appropriately, whilst tracking and communicating this to all those affected, including issue of technical status summaries for project reviews.
You'll be expected to manage the Vehicle Engineering technical delivery activities against a series of vehicle architecture and programme deliverables along with defining and applying clear and compatible technical assumptions as well as lead the successful resolution of technical conflicts and problems proactively.
What you'll need:
Project management experience within a technical discipline, including the ability to help deliver against complex project demands
Technical knowledge and practical experience of key whole vehicle or major product systems and interactions and customer level attributes
Proven ability to work with technical data and combine business skills with technical decision-making
Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders to solve complex technical problems including being able to simplify those problems to aid resolution and presentation to senior project stakeholders
Knowledge of the broader industry including brands, mega trends, products, technologies and customer needs

Skills/Requirements:
Vehicle or Major Product Customer Attributes
Vehicle or other major systems integration
Problem Solving
Engineering degree or similar relevant academic training and experience
Driving License
Experience in Automotive or Aerospace Industry
Experience in Software or wider Tech industry.
