​Position Description:

  • Our team create and sustain future proofed & efficient vehicle architectures that deliver world class, modern luxury experiences and maximised customer and business benefits.

  • This role focuses on the technical definition and application of an exciting breadth of new technologies and vehicle concepts.

  • The role will work on the whole vehicle engineering and integration and will have exposure to the key areas that influence vehicle technology development, interacting across engineering functions and attribute teams.

  • Liaise and Interface with multiple functions to identify, define & develop high value customer innovations - compile robust assumptions, and data to develop the requirements and features chosen for implementation on/in the architecture.

  • Radically simplify our technology toolkit and technical delivery activities

  • Throughout the engineering gateways act as guardian for strategic architecture `DNA':

  • Define clear & compatible assumptions.

  • Champion transformative attribute strategies & future technologies

  • Work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts to ensure closed loop control & adherence to architecture bandwidth & assumptions.

  • Report out in key technical meetings ensuring technologies and products will meet requirements.

  • Plan, deliver & implement high value branch line innovation studies and mainline agile delivery projects through the relevant reviews.

  • Manage a complex flow of changing information, coming from all functions and maintaining records appropriately, whilst tracking and communicating this to all those affected, including issue of technical & cost summaries for any product concepts.

  • Operate in the Agile framework, undertaking work as directed by their project leader, in accordance with agreed best practice.

  • Actively contribute to the development of JLR body-of-knowledge through development and deployment of tools, techniques & methods

  • Technical knowledge and extensive experience of key whole vehicle systems and interactions.

  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication, influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Project management experience including the ability to help deliver against complex project demands.

  • Adaptable style, able to deliver strategic initiatives, planned projects and reactive tactical studies.

  • Knowledge of the broader industry including brands, mega trends, products and customer needs Thrive on change and be committed to transforming customer experiences and growing our business.

Skills Required:

  • Vehicle or other major systems integration

  • Problem Solving Vehicle or Major Product Customer Attributes

Experience Required:

  • Engineering degree or similar relevant academic training and experience

  • Driving License

  • Experience in Automotive or Aerospace Industry

  • Experience in Software or wider Tech industry.
