​BUILD EVENTS:

  • Participate on prototype build events

  • Create a List of Open Points (LOP) document about all the engineering related issues

  • Assembly problems, quality problems, etc.

  • Discuss through the found problems with the international development engineering team (Germany, Hungary, Romania) to ensure that they will be able to analyse the problems

  • Do root cause analyses with 'Ishikawa' / '5 why' tools, and create a report based on these. If requested create a proper 8D report.

  • After the root cause analysis propose a short term and a long-term solution for the problems

  • The long term solution must be feasible for the injection molding tool modifications, and it has to respect the OEM standards

  • After the root cause analysis support the development engineering team to find a short term and a long-term solution for the problems

  • Organize trials to verify the solutions to the project team or to the OEM

  MEETINGS:

  • attending meetings with Development, Quality, Change Management, Process Engineers, customer, suppliers when requested

  • organizing meetings / trials (including tools, engineering parts - IP and CFC) with all above for feasibility, process and design check.

  CONCEPTS:

  • Analysing 3D concepts with Development Team (DT) from rework feasibility at Solihull site

  • CAD analysing for root cause or / and searching for a new solution independently from CAD team

  • Sharing own ideas with DT, justification and feasibility check

  REWORKS:

  • Reworking parts according to DT instructions, drawings, general concepts and / or own ideas

  • Defining rework methodology, tools selection, place.

  • Creating rework instructions and provide training

  • Implementing rework in production process

  • Evaluation and controlling new process

  • Rework Improvements: defining, updating documentation, providing training, implementing, evaluation, controlling

  • Cooperating with various departments

  SUPPORT:

  • Respond to Logistics / Engineering notifications e.g. searching for alternative fixings, parts etc. and assessment technical drawing and properties for potential usefulness

  • Supporting Quality due to customer complaints: failure assessment, providing data, evaluations, development history, parts check

  • Providing data and results of trials, reworks, measurements to Quality and DT

  • Supporting parts & process trials, design checks, risk assessment on production line with all Departments, customer, supplier.

  • Supporting customer on its production line: delivering parts, issues during the assembly process

  MEASUREMENTS:

  • Cooperating with GOM: parts shipment and measurements requests

  • Squeak and Rattle of new solutions assessment in S&R chamber,

  • Providing data and results of trials, reworks, measurements to Quality and DT
