Duties:

  • Join an experienced and professional team who support the business with Employee Relations issues and cases focussed on discipline, grievance, absence and performance management.

  • Responsible for managing a case load of various complex ER matters

  • Providing support for colleagues during difficult periods -Provide effective support for disciplinary actions, employee grievances, performance improvement and absence

  • Support line managers to chair absence reviews, disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings, up to and including dismissal and appeal

  • Use a coaching leadership style to build relationships and influence managers

  • Make recommendations on appropriate case outcomes based on appropriate risk analysis

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders

  • Undertake any other work as directed in connection with their role

  • Effective organisation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage and support managers

  • Can prioritise complex caseload

  • Customer focussed mindset

  • Can work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with autonomy in a fast paced environment.

  • Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel

  • Strong communicator - both written and verbal

  • Able to use rational judgement, critical thinking and data analysis to inform decision making
