A leading global supplier of automotive seating and electrical systems is currently seeking an Electronics System Engineer to join their contract team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company in the automotive industry, focusing on cutting-edge electronics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Designing and developing electronic components and systems for automotive applications
· Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of electronics into vehicle systems
· Conducting detailed analysis and diagnostics on electronic systems to identify and resolve issues
· Providing technical support and expertise to both internal teams and external clients
· Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
· Documenting and reporting on project progress, including technical specifications and changes
· Staying updated with the latest advancements in automotive electronics and implementing innovative solutions
Job Requirements:
· Experience in electronics, particularly within the automotive sector
· Strong understanding of automotive electronic systems and components
· Proficiency in electronic design and analysis tools
· Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
Core Technical Qualifications:
System / Software Engineering (Automotive or Aerospace):
· Experience developing embedded or real‑time software for automotive or aerospace systems
· Familiarity with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, DO‑178C, or similar
· Hands‑on involvement in system architecture, requirements engineering, integration, and validation
Electronic Hardware Development or Validation:
· Background in designing, testing, or validating electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, or power electronics
· Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)
· Understanding of PCB design, schematics, and hardware‑software interfaces
Control Systems Engineering:
· Strong foundation in classical and modern control theory
· Experience with modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
· Ability to design, tune, and validate control algorithms for mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems
