Position Description:

  • This role is within the Durability & Robustness Towing attribute.

  • Working as part of an AGILE Programme Delivery squad, the Test Integration Engineer role interfaces between Programme Leads and several vehicle and rig test delivery functions.

  • The focus of this role is to integrate vehicle test activities into the vehicle programmes, ensuring validation testing is completed to plan and to the required quality.

  • Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the preparation and de-preparation of test properties, managing vehicle updates and test spares, test property signoff and post-test inspection and non-destructive testing.

  • Managing in test vehicle and rig test issues, coordinating engineering support for technical issues and seeking prompt solutions to minimise test downtime.

  • Supporting the delivery of data from tests that are validation events for design release activity or technology advancement.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge Experience of engineering test activities

  • Knowledge experience of automotive technologies, systems or products UK driving license

Skills Preferred:

  • Primarily based in Gaydon, this is a dynamic and varied role with a mix of in office and in test facility work settings. It will occasionally require travel to other UK manufacturing and development sites as well as Proving Ground facilities.

Experience Required:

  • Technical expertise and experience of vehicle preparation and/or engineering test facilities Good understanding of whole vehicle hardware and software systems

  • The ability to validate, prepare and read engineering documents Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH and SDS Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and Single Point Lesson (SPL) documents

  • A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualification, 2 years accident free record

Experience Preferred:

  • Previous experience of durability full vehicle testing including off-road driving, trailer towing and/or proving ground use Data analysis and reporting of test data

  • Experienced with data acquisition and control systems.

  • Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration processes and data collection

  • Educated to Degree level in a Systems, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or related field. Six Sigma, Green Belt Training and certification Experience with TS16949 or ISO9001 standards and requirements
