BIM ENGINEER AND 4D MODELLER

​Position Description:

• The role is for the Design Integration, Layout System Integration BIM Engineer and 4D modeller for Global Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for supporting BIM process role out into the client's new vehicle manufacturing installations.

• Working from a central function and supporting project teams on complex multi-disciplinary industrial installation projects.

• Support the wider team utilising BIM to remove error conditions prior to construction/manufacture. Work with inputs from multiple sources including internal and externally authored data.

• Create 4D BIM for assigned projects.

• Lead creation of 4D animations to communicate installation and timing scenarios to the stakeholder group. Lead BIM clash detection workstream on assigned projects.

• Lead BIM review sessions for clash and timing workstreams.

• Work with stakeholders to close out actions.

• Work closely with process, facilities, and construction teams to ensure BIM is effectively developed to facilitate 4D planning and clash reviews.

• Work united with the site installation teams to scenario plan during installation phase and help manage change.

• Support site installation teams during build/installation phase.

• Promote the use of BIM where there are opportunities to broaden its use to benefit the company.

• Understanding of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices. Advanced capability in Navisworks Manage TimeLiner and animation creation.

• Advanced capability in Navisworks Manage Clash Detection.

• Advanced Revit modelling capability.

• Ability to document working practices to support wider team in their use of BIM on the projects.

• Ability to analyse and assess complex issues and provide recommendations.

• Advanced competency of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.

• Self starter

• Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of BIM / 4D modelling Demonstrable working knowledge and experience to lead review sessions with broad stakeholder groups.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of Navisworks Manage TimeLiner and animation creation.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of Navisworks Manage Clash Detection.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience Advanced Revit modelling capability.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience document working practices to support wider team in their use of BIM on the projects.

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience analyse and assess complex issues and provide recommendations.

• Microsoft package elements Power Point, Teams and Excel Thorough Understanding and Application of Lean Tools and Techniques Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  Experience Preferred:

• Primavera and MS Projects experience.

• Experience linking BIM meta data to other data platforms for further use. Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk AutoCAD. Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities.

• Experience using Autodesk ReCap.

• Experience using Leica Register 360 and CloudWorx. Experience Revit modelling of lidar scan data. Experience using CDE's during a project lifecycle.
