Virtual Manufacturing Engineering Engineer

​Position Description:

• The Model Build and NGD team is responsible for the planning and delivery co-ordination of (Non-Geometric / Technical) engineering data required to build simulation (CAE) models

• These models are used by various Engineering Teams to conduct virtual design verification assessments on our future vehicle programmes.

• You will develop close working relationships with the Engineering Teams that design programme specific components and systems and deliver the associated engineering data required to parameterise full vehicle models for our simulation activities.

• Through these relationships you will ensure robust delivery plans are in place to deliver collated consistent data on time and to the necessary quality.

• You will be part of a collaborative, iterative and agile team of engineers performing similar tasks at different phases of programme delivery, your focus will be in the latter more stable phases as the designs mature towards production.

Experience Required:

• Degree Qualified

Experience Preferred:

• Experience of maintaining traceability and structure in information in a variety of forms

• Knowledge of whole vehicle automotive product design and engineering

• Knowledge of a range of CAD, CAE and other virtual assessment processes, methods and tools

• Background in process development and / or Quality Management Systems

• Experience of project management, planning and delivery

• Be capable of expediting successful delivery through assertiveness, strong interpersonal skills, and negotiation with a wide range of multi-functional teams.
