​Position Description:

  • Virtual Build and Test Operations is a growing team within the wider Engineering Operations function at the company.

  • We are uniquely positioned to support the transition of our products from the virtual world to the physical world.

  • As well as owning and operating a world class Virtual Series Framework, we are also on a journey to drive optimisation and transformation into the overall company Verification and Validation strategy.

  • Our approach is to focus on our ability to ensure all of our engineering data is industry leading in quality ahead of part supply and build start to ensure the highest quality in our physical properties.

  • This will enable us to unlock all of the time, cost, quality and sustainability benefits associated with a quality physical build & validation delivery.

  • As a Virtual Build Analyst, you'll establish trusting relationships with engineering and build teams to ensure we delivery quality geometric data (CAD) to all prototype build activity on company New Modern Luxury Electrification Platform.

  • The role includes the delivery of an engineering Bill of Materials (CAD) that contains buildable geometry and is aligned with our parts to order Bill of Materials.

  • The Virtual Build Analyst will be responsible for the creation, population and issue resolution of the Engineering Bill of Materials for each planned physical build.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • The Virtual Build Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and population of the Engineering BoM (CAD) that enables physical prototype builds for: Full Vehicle protype, full powertrain unit prototypes (battery & EDU)

  • Supporting the resolution of non-buildable issues within the Engineering BoM (CAD) ahead of part order processes

  • Ensuring the Engineering BoM is aligned to other key datasets that enable part supply to physical builds Support CAD quality issue resolution reviews with key stakeholders and customers.

Skills Required:

  • Engineering Project or Program Management / Analysis

  • CAD Management

  • Problem Solving

Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of physical vehicle assessments. Knowledge of CAD compatibility.

  • Knowledge of automotive engineering build activities.

  • Knowledge of part release, procurement & supply processes.

  • Knowledge or experience in the delivery using Agile methodologies and Scrum would be beneficial.

Experience Required:

  • Technical project planner experience, with an ability to manage multiple complex workstreams.

  • Able to show evidence of planning & delivery.

  • The candidate should be capable of expediting successful delivery through assertiveness, strong interpersonal skills, and negotiation with a wide range of multi-function teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in a simple way.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills in approaching technical issue resolution.

  • A highly driven, self-motivated individual with capability to deliver results under pressure with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to work across functional teams and influence decisions.

  • Highly proficient in the use and application Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
