Vehicle Package Engineer (D)

​POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The position is responsible for the engineering integration process.

Responsibilities include:

·         Creation of vehicle concept proposals in the form of vehicle architecture package layouts.

·         Creation of outline component and system proposals to further the vehicle package development.

·         Definition and development of detailed vehicle packages at the whole vehicle or package zone level.

·         Tracking and monitoring resolution of all geometric issues within a package zone.

·         Mediation and negotiation between CoC areas to develop solutions for geometric issues within a package zone.

Skills:

·         At least 2 years experience in product development within vehicle integration or packaging role

·         Experience of CATIA V5 & V6 for detail or packaging design and geometric integration

·         Well rounded knowledge of chassis & propulsion systems and sub systems

·         Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict

·         Experience of using benchmarking tools to support idea generation

·         Experience of CATIA for detail or packaging design. (Other 3D CAD experience will be considered)

·         Good communication skills - written, graphical and verbal
