Position Description:
Overview Special Vehicles operate within FordPro to deliver bespoke upfit solutions to our customers to drive their business productivity.
We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer for the Vehicle Integration System product.
shared Objectives Support the Special Vehicles teams as well as convertors by developing our support documentation and support processes for Vehicle Integration System. This would also involve working with our engineering team and Vehicle Conversion Advisory Service to directly support convertors with technical questions.

Skills Required:
Tasks - Investigate and confirm how the Vehicle Integration System Logic Tool currently works with respect to Logic Blocks and Vehicle features.
This will involve a combination of researching existing documentation and validating on vehicles/simulators.
Produce customer facing help documentation detailing how the logic tool works at a fundamental level, including technical documents and videos (not expected to be on camera or record vocals)
Develop customer application examples that build on the fundamentals to demonstrate to convertors how they can use the tool to meet their application needs, with support from the engineering team.
Work with Ford Pro Intelligence Software Team and Ford Pro Tech Team to integrate help information into the Logic Tool and web resources.
Work with Vehicle Conversion Advisory Service (VCAS) team and Ford Pro Tech team to make the examples available to convertors and educate VCAS team on what resources are available.
There may be the opportunity to deliver training on the Vehicle Integration System product across Europe, depending on the candidate.
Technical writing
Understanding of basic principles of programming
Skills Preferred:
Video screen capture and editing
Knowledge of electrical integration of vehicle conversions
Experience Required:
3 years experience in the automotive industry
Experience Preferred:
Experience working within the converted vehicle industry
Experience of producing technical support documentation.
Experience using programming support resources such as stackoverflow.
