​Position Description:

  • The key objectives to be delivered by this role are as follows: Role Objective 1: Provide coaching / support for development of customer level requirements, e.g., Feature / System Statement of Intent (FSOI/SOC) in readiness for Quality Check and approval.

  • Provide coaching / support to conduct Function Failure Analysis to identify error states and ensure mitigation controls are in place to minimise / reduce technical risk in readiness for Quality Check and approval.

  • Provide Standards checking / approval (Requirements) service and feedback to engineering.

  • Work closely with assigned Product Domains and Central Integration Team to ensure any issues / residual technical risks are resolved / escalated to the relevant Forums in a timely manner.

  • Ensure Lessons Learned are embedded into relevant Engineering Artefacts to avoid repeat things gone wrong

Skills Required:

  • Systems engineering knowledge, both System V delivery model and DevOps

  • Good knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance tools and techniques (e.g., DFMEA, FFA, 8D, Six Sigma, Prevent Recurrence)

  • Good understanding of customer level, Attribute and technical requirements.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience of vehicle electrical systems and software development / delivery.

  • Experience in Automotive Engineering and good understanding of company & external field quality data systems.

  • Familiar with Project Management principles, control points and practices
