Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervision of Systems Team
Disciplinary and functional supervision of the systems engineering team members
Responsibility for personnel issues, development and appraisal (PMP)
Conduct regular systems team meetings
Plan engineering resource and deliverable requirements to fit to projects
Assist with resource planning
Ensure team are informed of and trained on new customer, internal and industry standard specifications and requirements
Participation in internal and external audits, implementation of the necessary corrective measures
Functional Responsibilities:
Technical lead for EDS Systems Design, validation and sign off for responsible programs.
Planning, implementation and validation of EDS systems content on a daily basis.
Ensure design change management processes are adhered to by team on time and with the required quality.
Review and optimise the internal development processes to support the internal and external project delivery requirements across all team locations.
Define work packages for external contractors in line with project deliverables.
Regular exchange of information with the customer's development supervision and management.
Prepare and deliver technical project presentations to customer
Work with Project Leaders and team members to prepare engineering project status information and present at internal and customer project reviews
Measure and report progress of EDS systems development against the project plans, define and implement corrective actions when required,
Key contact to the customer for presentation and explanation for system design related test failures and potential specification deviations.
Support systems development, design reviews, build support and diagnosis at customer local and external
Requirements:
University degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience of Leading and Developing a Team
Extensive experience is Design & Development of Wiring Harness
Effective Time Management skills
Proficient with Microsoft office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility
Strong analytical skills
High attention to detail
Self-motivation and prioritisation
Fluent in English
Full Driving Licence
Right to work in the UK - Valid Passport
