Special Vehicle Quality/Homologation Senior Engineer

​Position Description:

• This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ford Pro Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on the company commercial vehicle product line-up.

• Based in Dagenham the position relies on a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction.

Skills Required:

• Development, implementation, and management of vehicle operations quality processes whether body, paint, electrical system etc.

• Homologation and type approval for vehicles with added content

• Facility installations and requirements to deliver the vehicle quality requirements whether body, paint, electrical system etc.

• Development of roadmaps for quality improvements implementing them and coaching the team through the change

Experience Required:  

• Prototype/Manufacturing quality leadership experience

• Working knowledge of vehicle homologation and type approval

• Managing ISO 9001 in an automotive business

• A high level of presentation and communication to senior execs

Experience preferred:

• Special Vehicle quality leadership experience

• Implementing ISO 9001 into an automotive business

Education required:

• Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent

​

Education preferred:  

• Master's degree in relevant subject
