​Position Description:

The Opportunity

  • The purpose of this role is work with the various squads in the People Digital Experience chapter to ensure product delivery operates in an effective way.

  • This role is responsible for coaching and supporting digital teams enabling robust adoption and effective practice in agile project management.

  Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups

  • Facilitate squad communication and effective collaboration across squads

  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests

  • Facilitate the prioritisation of work and allocation of resources

  • Help teams implement changes effectively

  • Support the quarterly planning process to manage new work demands

  • Own the Jira projects / boards for their assigned squads

  • Partner with other scrum masters in the chapter to drive consistent practice cross-squads

  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint

  • Develop Jira dashboards to report on delivery and productivity

  • Facilitate squad retrospectives

  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity

  • Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it

  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks

  Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Understanding / experience of Agile Project Management and use of Agile techniques

  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills

  • Above average IT skills and understanding of digital products

  • Experience in a scrum master / project manager / PMO analyst role

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability

  • Strong organisation skills

  • Project management / Project Management office

  • You will ideally have experience in agile delivery and an in-depth knowledge of project management processes and techniques.

 Desirable:

  • Experience in using Jira to manage projects

  • Experience in people processes and data

  • Scrum master certification is a plus
