Prototype EDU Project Engineer

​This Role can support an element of hybrid working, however, a minimum of 2 days a week would be required on site in Coventry  

Position Description:

• The Electronic Drive Unit (EDU) factory is the mechanism by which we supply the prototype units to the business for testing, to support the development of our future commodities.

• This role will support the various teams involved across the Powertrain test function in the delivery of these.

• This will entail the running of fortnightly touchpoints from which we will collect actions and take away to resolve.

• Self-drive would be required to drive the solution to these independently.

• It will also involve process management to ensure that the way we are working is optimised for the task at hand.

Skills Required:

• Project management / stakeholder management

• The role requires the driving of a process across multiple teams and the supporting of those is vital to success

• Problem solving

• This role will involve implementing solutions for the various workstreams to ensure they are able to operate at maximum efficiency

• Self driven / self motivated / proactive

• This role will require the individual to be very proactive and drive the factory / hunt out the opportunities to speed up.

• A quiet reserved individual will not perform well in this role.

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in complex programme management will ensure the candidate has proven ability to lead a project such as this.

• Proficient in English

Experience Preferred:

• Any physical product based role (be that build, test, asset management) will ensure they are used to being involved in this style of workstream.

• Ability to produce digestible presentations/documentation to support the reporting out of progress
