Project Leader

​The Opportunity

• This role will support the development, delivery, planning and integration of New Technology programmes for Propulsion, Digital Product Platform, ADAS & Service Products for ongoing and future products.  

Key Performance Indicators

• As a Project Leader you'll be involved in and contribute the delivery of technology programmes work streams to agreed time, cost and quality targets by ensuring the right technology delivery into vehicle programmes.

• You'll be involved with supporting relevant agile ceremonies & program forums, driving credible plans and pre-emptive and skilled risk management to avoid issues.

• You'll be dealing with a large cross-functional team across multiple locations and be responsible for on time delivery of your work streams.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Deliver New Technology projects (Propulsion, ADAS and Digital / Service Products) utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outcomes to support the achievement of strategic business objectives

• Work on projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost

• Support and co-ordinate new technology commodities integration into Vehicle application programmes and delivery throughout the cycle plan

• Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management as well as engineering and technical progression and resolution

• Track and measure all live projects and report Project metrics to senior management and the programme chiefs

• Use wider business experience to guide and help others to identify potential alternative solutions to problems occurring on their projects

• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

  Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Experience of Project Management in a major multi-year complex cross-functional programme in a relevant industry

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; confident at building and maintaining strong relationships and implement new ways of working

• Evidence of Leadership skills and ability to drive success from ambiguity

• Ability to manage risks and issues

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

Desirable:

• Experience interfacing with core engineering & commercial functions

• Understanding of Agile mind set & approaches

• Experienced in Architecture, software delivery & mechatronic integration

• Experienced in Propulsion Systems

• Experienced in ADAS & Vehicle Network

• Experienced in Service Products & Features Delivery

• Experienced with cycle plan, portfolio and complexity management

• Familiarity and expertise in repeatable integration of system / components delivery

• Formal Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE or other such recognised methodology

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
