Procurement & Purchasing Officer

​POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Accountable for obtaining goods/services required by the organization including:

• Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.)

• Procurement processes include:

• Product/Service Sourcing

• Supplier Selection

• Pricing/Terms Negotiation

• Order Processing

• Contract Administration

• Supplier Performance Management

• May include Strategic Sourcing Level: A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.

• Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.

• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

• Specialization Match Note: Para-Professional incumbents administer the transactions associated with obtaining goods and services and do not negotiate pricing or terms.

Education:
