Job Title:                                Logistics Analyst

Salary:                                    Up to £28,000

Location:                               Speke/Huyton, Liverpool

Reporting To:                       Logistics Manager

 

Overall Purpose / Scope of Position:              

  • Responsible for the planning of manufacturing output on site.
  • To be responsible for the planning of all inventory materials received and dispatched by the organisation.
  • Responsible for generating supplier schedules and “call ins” to suit the manufacturing needs of the organisation to satisfy customer demand.

Key Objectives:   

  • Daily communication with customers to confirm despatch in line with requirements.
  • Input of customer schedules onto the computer system.
  • Daily generation of manufacturing plan in line with customer demand.
  • Generation of vendor schedules.
  • Generation of vendor call in’s.
  • Control of inventory levels for the assigned off-site JIT facilities.
  • Daily tracking of vendor material to ensure all materials are received as and when required.
  • Work with vendors and customers to improve supply ratings.
  • Development and maintenance of departmental spreadsheet, monitors and improvement plans.
  • Resolve supplier and customer bottlenecks that threaten production.
  • Improvement in the efficiency of the Department and its processes by supporting new initiatives including cross functional/Departmental improvement initiatives.

Working Conditions / Other features of Job:

  • This is a 37.5-hour week with flexibility required to cover absenteeism, stock takes and higher workload.

    Health, Safety and Environmental Factors:

  • The role holder must be aware of HS&E factors and ensure they work safely.

    Qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent education in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

    Job Skills:

  • PC literature with good IT systems and spread sheet skills, (Excel and SAP)

    Experience:

  • Experience in a similar position ideally within automotive.
  • A foreign language is an advantage
