You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive IT support, configuration and system documentation in a highly diverse production environment providing timely resolutions to user and business requirements.

Working knowledge of ITIL (incident and problem management and change management) is a must.

Strong communication skills and the ability to present high quality concise documentation for colleagues and end users.

You will be able to demonstrate Project management and organisational skills. Someone who keeps up to date with technology you will contribute new ideas and techniques.


Providing 1st/2nd/3rd line IT support to end users with technical queries, troubleshooting helpdesk tickets via email, telephone or in person.

Ensure the correctness and efficiency of the local technical infrastructure, reporting and escalating issues at the earliest point and taking action where necessary.

Provide 100% uptime for plant sequencing systems.

Support, Maintain site Server/Network Infrastructure.

Provide Support and assistance to system users via the IT Helpdesk facility.

Maintain the addition and deletion of users and maintenance of user permissions

Control and Administer IT hardware asset register

Completing tasks and projects assigned by the UK Regional IT Manager within given timeframes and taking a proactive approach to finding solutions to problems.

Basic/Desirable Education:

Computing related degree



Desirable Experience:

Automotive Industry experience / Manufacturing.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.

Experience with Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP

Windows Server (2008/2012R2/2016) support

Windows 7/8/10 desktop support

Zebra Printers and Label Printing

Experience with cabling and installing physical network infrastructure CAT5e/CAT6  

Familiar with handheld scanners such as Datalogic/Motorola

SQL Server 2008/2012 Databases

Specific Education:

Computer related Degree



Must have worked in 1st and 2nd line Support

Must have strong communication skills
