Position Description:
Responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
Performs electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment on company premises.
Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
Primary emphasis is on performance of a variety of maintenance tasks, rather than a high degree of skill in any particular trade.
Level: A Specialist Para-Professional (S4) requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities typically include:
Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.
Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.
Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.
Typical Title: General Maintenance Technician, Warehouse Maintenance & Repair Technician, Store Maintenance & Repair Technician
Skills:
Essential 1: A Level 4 qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience. ATEX CompEx
Essential 2: Proven experience and understanding of Fuel farm operation, Fuel Management, Testing Facilities and equipment.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
Experience and Qualifications Required:
A Level 4 qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience.
Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English, Maths and Science
ATEX CompEX
DSEAR Competent
Proven experience and understanding of testing facilities, processes, equipment and leading technologies.
Knowledge of Fuels
Experienced in Risk analysis and problem-solving control systems.
Clear and confident communicator both orally and in writing
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
Ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
Ability to follow written and spoken instruction and interface well with customers
Ability to work quickly and pay attention to detail
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office.
