Position Description:
Seize this unparalleled opportunity to join our growing Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) family at a pivotal moment, as we transform our business and shift towards manufacturing electrified power units and state-of-the-art battery solutions for vehicles.
As an invaluable member of PTME's Collaboration and Innovation team, you'll collaborate with experts internal and external to our company, craft compelling proposals for funded projects, and manage programme delivery of ongoing and future innovation projects.
Your crucial role will involve uncovering new internal and external collaboration prospects and devising strategies to ignite PTME's engineering creativity.
This thrilling position is where your 'blue-sky thinking' converges with technical prowess to forge an innovative and resilient future for PTME.
In particular for this role, we are excited for you to contribute your transferable skills, knowledge, and experience to our team as you: Devise inventive solutions in the digital and emerging technologies space to resolve problem statements affecting PTME's delivery.
Apply your knowledge of manufacturing to assess the evolving landscape, seeking opportunities across industries to develop, replicate, and optimise our processes.
Contribute to the delivery of work packages as part of funded and non-funded innovative R&D projects.
Cultivate and expand our network and relationships with academic institutes and research technology organisations, pinpointing collaborative projects that enhance our world-class manufacturing competencies.
Support intellectual property generation and disseminate learning.

Skills Preferred:
Industry 4.0 & Smart Manufacturing Data science skillset and knowledge, including machine learning, interrogation of databases
Advanced Microsoft Office including VBA, power automate, power apps.
Experience Required:
Demonstrated ability to contribute towards convincing project proposals to secure resource allocation. Proven track record of delivering technical projects.
Experience developing disruptive technologies and challenging the status quo.
Successful stakeholder management with internal and external partners.
Experience Preferred:
Experience working at Ford, particularly with our operations is strongly preferred. Experience working with universities or within academia.

Higher postgraduate degree such as EngD, PhD, MBA
