Position Description:
The Body & Chassis CoC Finance team provide financial support to all PE programmes and to the Body & Chassis CoC.
As well as providing financial control, the finance team acts as a key business partner to the Engineering and Purchasing teams ensuring that the programmes achieve financial targets.
The role enables operational interaction with the Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Vehicle Programme and Commercial teams, offering the opportunity to become a true business partner to both the Agile Groups and Squads and the CoC teams
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Finance lead and FBP for Agile Group/Commodity Group (deep understanding of commodities from an engineering, supply chain and internal & external benchmark perspective).
Drive Agile Group/Commodity Group to achieve financial targets for material cost, Vendor Tooling and Engineering, Design & Development Hold Agile Group/Commodity Group accountable to financial targets and enforce appropriate trade-offs to protect fixed aspects of cost and time
Identify and influence key operational and strategic decisions in Agile Group/Commodity Group/Commodity Strategy Group to improve financial returns.
Must understand the impact across all impacted car lines Identify financial risks early and partner Agile Group/Commodity Group to create and action plans to mitigate Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver improvements
Skills Required:
Proven Finance Business Partner experience gained within a large, complex manufacturing/engineering organisation (ideally automotive) at a manager level
Sound financial and commercial business acumen shown through evidence of developing, introducing new or innovative practices/processes in support of strategic business goals
Exceptional numerical, analytical skills supported by advanced communication and presentation skills used to translate financial issues for operational teams
Experience Required:
CIMA or ACCA qualified
Experience Preferred:
Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
